About Preferential Option Law Offices

At Preferential Option Law Offices, we are committed to helping individuals and families navigate the immigration system with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Our main location is in Savannah, Georgia, and we are committed to advocating for immigrants detained at the Folkston ICE Processing Center, less than two hours away.

Preferential Option represents clients across the country, and our team is dedicated to providing legal support that meets people where they are, whether in detention, in the community, or anywhere in the United States.

Every Sunday, clients can schedule in-person consultations at our Savannah office and can schedule an appointment in Miami, FL bi-monthly. We also travel to detention centers throughout the South to meet directly with those in custody.

Why People Choose Us

We understand how overwhelming the immigration process can be — filled with complex rules, short timelines, and big decisions. That’s why we focus on communication that’s honest, clear, and client-centered. Our team is dedicated to getting the best results for immigrants and their families.

From your first contact with us, you’ll work with a skilled and compassionate legal team who listens, explains, and guides you through the process.

part of the community

We were honored to receive the St. Thomas More Award in 2024 from Bishop Stephen D. Parkes. From detention centers in the South to courtrooms to community workshops and clinics, our team brings dedication and strategy to every case — and we’re proud of the impact we’ve made so far.

Our team at Preferential Option Law Offices, LLC has collaborated with national and local nonprofits, including National Immigration Law Center (NILC), National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, Social Apostolate (now Catholic Charities of South Georgia), Migrant Equity Southeast (MESE), Southeast Georgia Communities Project (SEGCP), and others to deliver effective solutions to the immigrant community in the Southeast and beyond. If you are interested in collaborating with PreferentIal Option Law Offices on a case or a community event, do not hesitate to reach out to Felix A. Montanez, owner and managing attorney, at felix.montanez@preferentialoption.com
